My Sourdough Journey
Hello, my name is Amanda, and a little over two years ago I began a journey that started in my own kitchen with just flour, water, and salt. What began as a way to provide my family with fresh, wholesome bread made with organic ingredients has grown into something so much bigger.
Sourdough quickly became more than just baking for me—it turned into a place of peace and joy. In the middle of busy days and the stresses of work, the rhythm of feeding my starter, shaping loaves, and waiting for the magic of fermentation became a form of therapy. There’s something grounding about slowing down and letting time, patience, and care transform the simplest of ingredients into something nourishing.
Along the way, I discovered the joy of sharing my bread with others. I’ve been blessed to gift loaves to friends, neighbors, and pastors in my community. One of the highlights of my baking journey was preparing 30 loaves for my daughter’s wedding shower—a true labor of love that reminded me how bread has a way of bringing people together.
For me, baking sourdough is about more than bread. It’s about community, generosity, and creating something that nourishes both body and soul. Each loaf I bake carries with it not just wholesome ingredients, but also a little piece of my heart.
Now, I’m excited to take the next step in this journey by offering my sourdough to others in the community. Whether you’re enjoying it at your family table, sharing it with a friend, or giving it as a gift, my hope is that every loaf brings warmth, connection, and joy.
If you’d like to experience the joy of fresh sourdough, I’d be honored to bake a loaf for you—place your order today!
